What is FIRST?

 

​FIRST is an organization that was founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen to inspire young people's interest and participation in sicence and technology. Every year FIRST organizes FIRST Robotics Competition for High School students around the world to build robots that can do a certain task like shoot basketballs and compete with other teams in order to move up the ladder and go to the finals. While the students are having fun building and competing in the game, they are learning about technology and finding their future going toward the direction of science and technology.
